JMET for admission to these Programmes: The IISc and participating IITs will use the results of JMET to short list candidates for the subsequent part of the selection process(es). Applicants should note that they have to apply for and send separate application forms to different IITs and IISc as per their choices. Candidates are advised to refer to the details provided by each of the Institutes in www.iitb.ac.in/~pge/JMET06.An applicant can apply to as many programmes as desired by him / her subject to fulfillment of eligibility requirements.

Negative Marking: There is negative marking for every incorrect answers. For a wrong answer to a question, 25% of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted.

Test Date: The JMET is usually conducted on the 2nd Sunday of every December and has many test centres all over India.

Application Deadline:The 3rd week of October and the forms are available at the GATE offices of the institutes as well as online on the websites of the institutes.
